Dino Confalone

What did you do before real estate and how did you get
started in the business?

For many years, I considered myself as having dueling careers.
When I was in college, my father went through a career change and
we decided to take the real estate test together. So, I’ve been
a licensed real estate agent for almost three decades! I ended up
pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and becoming a CFO. I always had a
few real estate deals over the years but it was not my focus.
However, during the 2008 financial crisis, my company closed and I
decided to test the waters as a full time Realtor. Changing careers
at 37 was a challenge, but I fell in love with the job and now
truly enjoy my newly chosen profession.

What is something your clients find comfort in that make
them turn to you for their real estate needs?

Over the past decade of helping Buyers and Sellers, I’ve
noticed a consistent theme when asking for a testimonial. Clients
tend to perceive me as the calming force during such a stressful
transaction. My financial background and education have provided me
with the ability to think analytically and always provide options
with any challenge that is presented. In addition, I do my best to
make the transaction a pleasant experience for all.

What are some of your favorite local hobbies, activities
or organizations that you participate in?

I’ve always been of the mindset to give back to the
community. I am very active in two local non-profits. The Cambridge Community
of Real Estate Professionals Foundation
(CCR) supports Our
Place, a local daycare center for homeless children. In addition,
in 2021 I was named President of our local trade organization, the
Greater Boston Association of REALTORS (GBAR).
I spend every single day trying to elevate our industry.

I also take time to coach my son’s soccer teams, resulting
in championships!

What do you love most about where you live and
work?

Considered a hub of education and technology, Boston provides us
with the excitement of meeting new people. Boston is my home, and
growing up here has provided me with the education and expertise
that is needed in this role. I think of myself as a tour guide and
am proud to show off my city. Sharing that knowledge and educating
new Buyers and Sellers is what I love most. Every day is a new
adventure!
