Behind every beautifully designed space is a story, and for Wendy Ligouris, that story has always been about combining creativity with connection. Growing up in a family rooted in construction and design, Wendy developed an early love for transforming ideas into reality. That passion continues to guide her career, whether in collaborating with clients, architects, and builders, or reimagining spaces to reflect individual visions.
What is a sales-design consultant and how did you pursue your career as one?
With over 20 years of experience in the kitchen and bath design industry, my journey into real estate was a natural evolution of my lifelong passion for design and building meaningful client relationships. Growing up in a family immersed in the business—my father has been in the industry for more than 50 years—I developed an early appreciation for construction and design. From traveling to work with him as a child to spending summers and breaks in college working on the decorative side of the business, I discovered a love for design that shaped my career. As a design consultant, I built a strong network within the trade community, working closely with designers, architects, builders, and developers. Over the years, I honed my skills in client consulting, designer showroom buildouts, and space planning, all while focusing on building relationships grounded in trust and understanding.
When did you get into real estate and how has your background in local building and design shaped it?
Many of the clients I began working with two decades ago remain valued clients to this day—a testament to my commitment to delivering exceptional results and personalized service. Transitioning to real estate allowed me to combine my expertise in construction and design with my passion for helping clients realize their vision.
What do you love most about your roles as a real estate advisor?
Whether it’s finding a dream home or transforming a space into something extraordinary, I thrive on understanding my clients’ needs and guiding them through the process with care and attention to detail.
What do you love most about where you live and work? Any favorite spots in Weston or the MetroWest area?
As a long-time resident of the Metro West community, I deeply value its rich culture, warm neighborhood feel, and timeless New England-style homes.
What are three sources of joy in your week?
In my free time, I enjoy exploring the area’s unique small businesses and restaurants, staying active through health and fitness, and spending quality time with my family.
