Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty proudly announces that Nicole Rideout Hartwick has been appointed President of the brokerage as part of the organization’s future leadership succession plan.
Following her tenure as Chief Strategy Officer since 2021, Rideout Hartwick will focus on capitalizing on emerging growth opportunities for the brokerage and enhancing the support and resources available to its team of real estate professionals. Larry Rideout and Paul McGann, who founded the company in 2006, will continue to serve the firm as owners, ensuring its growth stays aligned with its founding principles and long-term goals.
“Throughout my 13-year career at Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, I have been lucky enough to learn from some of the greatest minds in real estate,” said Rideout Hartwick. “My father, Larry Rideout, has dedicated his career to the local real estate industry and community and, together, we have created the largest and most successful real estate company based in the state of Massachusetts. I am energized to continue our tradition of innovation, expertise, and best-in-class service.”
“It has been my honor to lead Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty over the past two decades,” said Larry Rideout. “As we look to the future, we are confident that Nicole’s extensive leadership experience will guide us in building upon our legacy while seizing new opportunities for growth. Nicole understands the rapid changes we are experiencing in the real estate industry and, with our Chief Executive Officer Colleen Barry, she has the potential to transform the business, our markets, and the role of women as an economic force in Massachusetts and beyond.”
Rideout Hartwick began her career with Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty as a college student, assisting sales agents and completing rental transactions. She worked in real estate public policy in Washington D.C. before rejoining the brokerage in 2014. After tripling gross commission income in the relocation and referrals department, Nicole assumed the roles of Vice President of Business Development and then Chief Strategy Officer, with a focus on scaling the company through mergers and acquisitions. She is a graduate of Ascend, an intensive 46-week executive leadership program offered by Anywhere Real Estate Inc., a member of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®, Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®, a Government Affairs committee member for the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, and former chair of The Young Professionals Network.
Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty achieved $2.59 billion in sales volume through Q3 of 2024. It holds an average sale price of over $1.25 million, the highest of the top twenty real estate firms statewide.
