that Provincetown has had on his personal and professional
journey.
What did you do before real estate and how did you get started in
the business?
My background prior to real estate was in Property Management. My
first gig was as an Assistant Property Manager to more than two
hundred units in Greensboro, North Carolina. I was eventually
promoted to property manager, but then relocated to South Florida,
where I became a licensed real estate agent. I remember taking the
test outside under tents because over 1000 people were seated for
the exam! They graded it right in front of me. The passing grade
was a 75, and I earned a 76! Twenty-six years later, I have four
real estate licenses: broker’s licenses in North Carolina,
New York, and Massachusetts, and a sales license in Florida.
What is something your clients find comfort in that makes them
turn to you for their real estate needs?
My clients have repeatedly praised me on my attention to detail
through every stop of a transaction. I always strive to keep my
clients well-informed while swiftly addressing any issues that come
up to avoid any surprises. This builds a foundation of trust and
gives them the confidence to put their important transaction in my
hands.
What do you love most about where you live and
work?
Living on Cape Cod feels like living at the end of the earth.
It’s a tiny sandbar surrounded by water, with side streets with
vintage cottages and some of the most colorful gardens one can
imagine.
Provincetown is particularly close to my heart as a member of the
LGBTQ+ community. I think we can all remember a time in our lives
when we were not accepted or included for simply being the
individual we are, but Provincetown welcomes all. Each member of
our community has their own personal stories of how this town has
shaped us. Even before moving here full-time, I recall how my
visits guided important decisions in my life. It’s hard to
put into words what Provincetown represents and how much it means,
but inclusion and unconditional love for all are at the
forefront.
Any favorite activities or spots to check out on Cape
Cod?
I love to chase sunrises and sunsets with my camera. Photography is
my go-to! Capturing the pre-dawn light at 4:15 AM in the
summertime is magical.
There are two trails I recommend to visitors on Cape Cod: The Dune
Shack Trail, and Hatches Harbor and Race Point Lighthouse. Hiking
these trails is an incredibly memorable experience, filled with
captivating views.
What are
three sources of joy in your week?
1. I find joy in being surrounded by the National Seashore and
Mother Nature’s acts of beauty.
2. I always keep two running to-do lists: one for work, and
one for my personal life. These lists are always with me. I find
great joy in checking off completed items!
3. There is a special kind of joy in waking at 2:00 AM to hear
contemplative conversations as two individuals walk down your
street. Or better yet, hearing a group of friends holding hands,
skipping & singing “We’re off to see the wizard, the
wonderful wizard of oz!” Only in Provincetown!
