We are pleased to present our Agent
Spotlight on Jamie
Grossman—a longtime Newton resident, Jamie expertly
blends her local neighborhood knowledge and sharp eye for design to
help her clients find their own places to call home within this
special community and surrounding
towns.
What did you do before
real estate and how did you get started in the
business?
My residential sales career
actually began in the late 80s and early 90s in Back Bay. I
worked with Carlson Real Estate focused in the Back Bay and South
End. Over the years, I have managed many home renovations and I
appreciate the process of breathing new life into older
homes.
What is something your
clients find comfort in that makes them turn to you for their real
estate needs?
I have great vision for a
homes’ potential, and I can help clients see what is
possible. I also deeply feel and understand the stress that comes
with home selling and buying, and I use my own personal experiences
to anticipate my clients’ needs and create as smooth a
process as possible
What are some of your
favorite local hobbies, activities or organizations that you
participate in?
I have been a community volunteer
for 30 years. My heart belongs to Jewish Family &
Children’s Service where I have volunteered for 22 years
including serving most recently as Board Chair. I serve as an
Overseer of BIDMC. I am also committed to raising awareness for the
needed support of our military community and their families.
My favorite escape is fly-fishing out West in Montana and
Wyoming.
What do you love most
about where you live and work?
I have lived in Weston and Newton
and now reside on West Newton Hill. Both are incredibly lovely
towns. I love the vibrancy of Newton, the excellent shops and
dining available, and the proximity to Boston.
What are three sources of
joy in your week?
- Working out in my home garage gym
is a must several times a week, and I love it! - Walking with our Belgian Malanois
Ranger around the neighborhood is a lot of fun and the houses are
beautiful - Any opportunity to see my
daughters!
