What did you do before real estate and how did you get
started in the business?
As a child, my mother worked as an Assistant Assessor. She
always shared how fun it was to have the privilege of viewing other
people’s homes. I have always been a worker bee who couldnt sit
still, so knew I wouldnt be a good candidate for a 9-5 desk job. I
decided to become a Licensed Social Worker and worked for the
Department of Children and Families for six years. Although I loved
that job, I found myself constantly looking at Realtor.com on my lunch breaks!
When I was 24 years old, I purchased my first investment property.
After that, I really caught the real estate bug and thought, Wow, I
can still help people, just in a different way. The rest is
history!
What is something your clients find comfort in that
makes them turn to you for their real estate needs?
My background as a former Licensed Social Worker has helped me
better assess and anticipate the unique needs of each of my
clients. Most importantly, I was trained to diffuse and negotiate
very challenging situations, in a solution-based manner. This
skillset has really come in handy in real estate!
What are some of your favorite local hobbies, activities
or organizations that you participate in?
Years ago, I ran the Boston Marathon with a charity group in
support of Dana Farber. Although Ive hung up my running shoes, I
still support Dana Farber with a donation with each home sale.
Nowadays, I love to take long walks and explore the conservation
land & trails around the area. My kids recently learned to ride
their bicycles, so Im having fun chasing them around the local
trails!
What do you love most about where you live and
work?
Arlington is TRULY the best of both worlds, the perfect blend of
urban and suburban. I have found the folks here to be welcoming,
smart, eclectic and fun!
What are three sources of joy in your week?
Well, thats simple: my 5-year-old son Louie and 8-year-old
daughter Fiddie! In the summer, my husband and I bring them to our
tiny summer shack on Plum Island for an old-fashioned,
technology-free break!
