What did you do before real estate and how did you get
started in the business?
After graduating from Northeastern University with a Bachelors
degree in Biology, I was scooped by a medical corporation to sell
Chemistry Analyzers to hospitals across the United States. That is
whereI learned my salesmanship skills, and also where I learned
that I wanted to settle down after ten years of intense traveling.
Knowing I could sell almost anything, I chose to enter the real
estate industry and returned to my hometown of Chatham on Cape Cod
to make my mark. My familiarity with the townand the people made a
true difference in my success. After owning Chatham Real Estate for
thirty years, I transitioned the company to Gibson Sothebys
International Realty, the best brand in the industry.
What is one thing your clients find comfort in that make
them turn to you for their real estate needs?
Clients turn and routinely return to me because of my keen
knowledge of the area and the success I have had helping clients
reach their goals and dreams of property ownership on Cape Cod.
What are some of your favorite local activities or
organizations that you participate in?
I enjoy serving on the Professional Standards Committee in the
Cape Cod and Islands
Association of REALTORS, and also volunteering where I
can throughout my community.
What about the Chatham and Cape Cod lifestyle excites
you most?
I love boating, fishing, and spending time at a beach cottage
that I own on North Beach Island with my two brothers and three
best friends. I enjoy exercising and fitting in a bit of golf at
Eastward Ho! Country ClubI hope to spend more time with the great
sport in 2020.
Describe your perfect day off.
My perfect day off includes spending time on my boat, enjoying
the spectacular outdoors that Chatham in particular offers on Cape
Cod.
What are three sources of joy in your week?
- Bringing a transaction that is a win-win for both sides to
fruition. - Exercising and feeling in shape.
- Having that first cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying
views of the Atlantic Ocean.
