Agent Spotlight-Wendy Farrell

Why did you decide to pursue a real estate
career?

I was working at a property management company and worked
closely with the realtors during the sales of the condos we
managed. I asked my broker, who only sold commercial, if we could
start our own residential division if I got my license. Ive always
enjoyed working with others.

What is one thing your clients find comfort in that make
them turn to you for their real estate needs?

My clients feel comfortable with me because of my
resourcefulness. I was a director at large for the Orleans Chamber
of Commerce for three years. During that time I collaborated with a
lot of different business owners, and today, I maintaina large
group of resources.

What are some of your favorite local activities or
organizations that you participate in?

I participated in the Orleans Chamber of Commerce as a director
at large. Ive worked with the Cape Cod Commercial Fisherman
Alliance, educating people on Oyster Farming. As a past member of
the Orleans Playground Committeeand PTO,I helped organize a
playgroundrebuild and organized their craft fair for 5 years. At
Oceana Soccer Club, I coached a girls soccer team for five years.
Nauset Booster Club is the non-profit that helps at our local high
school, and I assist when needed. I try to stay as involved as
possible in local non-profit organizations.

What about the Cape Cod lifestyle excites you
most?

I feelvery lucky to have grown up on the Cape. In the fall, my
family harvests their cranberry bog, and in the summer we farm our
oyster farm and enjoy all the beaches. Cape Cod has so much to
offerbiking, beach going, farming, fishing, nature walks. There is
something for everyone.

How has the Sotheby’s brand impacted your
business?

Themarketing that comes with the Sothebys brand is unbeatable.
Theprestige of the Sotheby’s name is recognized everywhere, and
clients expect the white-glove service we are known for. Im very
proud to represent this exceptional brand.

Describe your perfect day off.

My perfect day off would start with a smoothie bowl, followed by
a dog walk around Nickerson State Park. Then, watchingone of my
kids at their sport of choice: cross country, soccer, or dirt
biking. Finally, I would get together with some friends for a
mountain bike ride that concludesat Land Ho! for dinner.
