How have your international travels contributed to your
success as an agent?
I’ve been fortunate enough to have lived in several countries,
where my family and I wholeheartedly embraced the unique cultures
we experienced. We learned the languages, broadened our horizons,
and built lasting friendships across the globe. The business of
real estate is more competitive and globalized than ever before,
and successful agents, especially those who are part of the global
Sotheby’s International Realty brand, must be able to cross
cultural and linguistic borders. Connecting and communicating with
clients in their native language always makes for memorable first
impressions.
Why did you decide to pursue a real estate
career?
I truly enjoy being around and helping good people, learning
about their backgrounds and life experiences, and listening to
their unique stories. As a real estate agent, I constantly put
myinterpersonal skills to work. Sometimes it happens at networking
events, sometimes at the office, and sometimes over coffee or
lunch. I work and socialize with business colleagues, affiliates,
partners, and new clients. If you enjoy meeting new people, you
will love this aspect of the real estate business. Every day brings
a different combination of experiences. With new people, new
properties, and new obstacles to overcome, no two days are ever the
same.
What is one thing your clients find comfort in that make
them turn to you for their real estate needs?
My clients tell me they appreciate my responsiveness,
dependability, ability to relieve unnecessary stress, and my
passion for what I do. They respect my expert knowledge and sound
direction in what at first can be a stressful process in buying or
selling a new home. One of my clients has told me she depended on
me more than she did her husband! When I am able to make the
process enjoyable and exciting for my clients, it feels good.
Describe your perfect day off.
Grab coffee, hit the gym, and get lunch with a friend. Then
later, dinner at my favorite Indian restaurant, Taj Modern Indian Cuisine,
before heading to a Maroon 5 concert at the Garden. Finally, I
would come home to a clean house and my two wonderful children!
