sights to see
Take in the Architecture at Copley Square
Copley Square.
Named to honor the famed Boston artist John Singleton Copley,
this Back Bay neighborhood is well known for its history and iconic
architectural structures. Here, you can spend the day enjoying
various cafes, upscale boutiques, and quaint 19th century
townhouses.
Copley Square itself hosts attractions including
Old South
and Trinity, a pair
of churches over 140 years old, and the Boston Public Library, the
oldest large free-lending library in America and the site of our
first annual Boston
Networking Eventthis year. The Reading Room and Atrium
provide some of the most stunning Instagram-worthy backdrops. Among
the treasures hidden behind its doors is a mural series painted by
none other than John Singer Sargent on theTriumph of Religion.
Other highlights, all of which are pointed out on free tours,
include murals depicting the nine muses by French artist Puvis de
Chavannes and Edwin Abbeys mural interpretation of the Holy Grail
legend.
Peruse the Shops on Newbury Street
After youve snapped some shots, head a few blocks over to
Newbury
Street, Bostons main boutique shopping thoroughfare.
Enjoy eight blocks filled with salons, boutiques, and fabulous

visit nearby
Boylston Street, Prudential Center,
and Copley Place
to sample a full array of international boutiques, national brands,
unique local shops, and big-box department stores. Dont forget to

Stroll Through The Boston Common and Public
Garden
Continue your Boston itinerary after Copley by walking less than
15 minutes east and enjoying a stroll through the Boston Public
Garden and Boston
Common. As the first public botanical garden in the
country, the Public Garden stars a beautiful cast of statues,
ponds, and flora reminiscent of New Yorks Central Park. The iconic
George Washington Statue is set beautifully againstthe
Boston skyline. Continue meandering through the adjacent Boston
Common, Americas oldest public park that culminates in the
Massachusetts State

unmistakable golden dome. The exquisite building dates back to the
late 1700s and is a National Historic Landmark.
