Kyle Kaagan is one of
a rare breed: someone who genuinely appreciates beauty in all
things.
With a kind of self-awareness most can only hope to achieve,
shereflects on the experiences that shaped her into who she is
today, as this month’s featured Gibson Sotheby’s International
Realty agent.
I’m always in awe of creative minds, and have a massive
appreciation for people who have been given the gift of creative
talent,” Kyle says. “I think I inherited the love and aspiration
from my mother, she notes, discussing the special quality within
that allows her to see loveliness in small details.
Kyle’s mother worked hard to provide for her family. A single,
working parent, she labored intenselyto give Kyle a colorful
childhood.
She wanted to surround herself with beauty, and I get that so
much.”
Scrapingtogether her savings, Kyle’s mother would purchase
beautiful fabrics andsew intricate pillows and drapes by hand for
decoration. Thisdeep dedication to detailstuck with a young Kyle.
Its helped her forge her passion for quality, apparent both in her
career and personal life.
There is something amazing about a well designed room, a
painting that makes you stare,or a pair of shoes that makes your
jaw drop.”
Impressively, however, Kyles creative right brain is balanced by
an equal abilityfor logical reasoning. Her path to real estate was
calculated and deliberate. Having realized her passion at an early
age, she made all the right moves to position herself for a long
and successful career even if it meant giving her energy to another
field first.
I went the corporate path until the moment I could jump ship,
Kyle recalls. To fully fund her education and plan ahead for the
future, she donated her time to a career in recruiting after
college. Though she found great success here, it was simply a
stepping stone to the occupation of her dreams.
Her path to Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty was forged on
persistence and a natural talent for negotiation. Kyle was given
the opportunity to show what she could do, and the rest is history,
she says.
In her free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with her fearless
five-year-old son, skiing in the winter, and boating and swimming
in the summer. In all seasons, Kyle enjoys dining out and
experiencing Bostons many fine restaurants. Her favorite spots
include some of Bostons best in outdoor dining, as theres something
about sitting outside with food and a cocktail with good friends
and family while people watching withwhich, we cant help but
agree!
Her favorite places include the patios at Bistro du Midi, Kava Neo-Taverna, Banyan Bar + Refuge, and
B&G Oysters.
Kyle is a supporter of 350.org,
an organization committed to helping the environment through clean
energy practices. She also advocates for young people, supporting
the Plummer House, a
foster care center for young people, and helping sponsor families
around the holiday seasons. This past year, she sent ample
donations to three different families.
Her best advice? Keep a few things vibrant in your life: humor,
a healthy perspective, and positive attitude if you can carry those
three things with you, its all good.
