neighborhoods, Charlestown continues to emanate a strong

leaving. He explains that Charlestown offers a kind of suburban
support system that you dont often find in the city.
In the heart of Charlestown, you
will find a mixture of red-brick, colonial homes that were built no
later than 1939. Charming squares packed with lush greenery are
intermittently nestled among the streets, making the perfect spot
for an afternoon stroll or a picnic in the park.
Charlestowns Navy Yard is home to
one of the United States oldest Navy shipbuilding facilities. While
the heart of the Yard is preserved as a national historic park, the
rest of the area is filled with newly renovated complexes for both
residents and businesses. Take a relaxing stroll along the harbor

Navy Yard Bistro, or indulge in an authentic New England style meal
with some of the best city views from the rooftop of Pier
6.
If you are looking for a
culturally historic dining experience, stop by The Warren Tavern on
Pleasant Street. Making its mark as the oldest tavern in the state
of Massachusetts, Warren Tavern was a favorite of Paul Revere and
host to many other historic American figures including George
Washington and Ben Franklin.
