Check out the South Ends open
market. The market is open every Sunday from 10am until 4pm
(through October). A variety of different vendors are featured
within the farmers market, flea market as well as the various
different food trucks.

Somerville Flea
Market

NEWDAVIS_300DPI Where:
Davis Square, Somerville
Cost: Free The Somerville Flea Market is an outdoor market
that features live music, local vendors, and fresh produce from
local farm stands. The market takes place in Davis Square every
Sunday from 10am until 4pm (through October).

Boston
Harborfest

Where: Various locations near the Boston Harbor
Cost: Most events are free, some events require an
admissions fee
The Boston Harborfest is an annual
celebration that takes place over the July 4th weekend. The
festival includes live music, food fairs, historical reenactments,
and fireworks. Harborfest is family friendly and has events catered
to all ages.

Here are some places to view
fireworks in the area for
free:

  • Wollaston Beach in Quincy
  • Larz Anderson Park in Brookline
  • The Charles River Esplanade in Cambridge

Keep in mind: according to the Boston Globe, this could be the
last year to watch the firework festivities on the Esplanade.
Current sponsor David Mugar is retiring and has yet to find someone
else to sponsor the 4th celebrations. Find a list of more fireworks
nearest to you here!
