Jeffries Point is one of Bostons best-kept secrets, with
spectacular views of the Boston Skyline, tons of green space,
convenient public transportation and authentic restaurants and food
options, according to web news outlet, BostInno. With a
younger generation of professionals and students establishing homes
of their own in East Bostons Jeffries Point, new traditions have
found a place among them to keep this hidden gem shining.
Next month, the Jeffries Point Neighborhood Association (or
JPNA) will be hosting their second annual Fall Fling as a community
event to bring residents and friends together, as well as to raise
funds in support of its mission. The JPNA is nonprofit organization
in the neighborhood serving as advocates for the residents, a
resource for information, and they work with the city of East
Boston on zoning, development, business and other initiatives. Last
year, the event was created to grow the non-for-profit, and this
year they aim to establish more support in the neighborhood to keep
the Jeffries Point community engaged with civic, cultural, and
neighborhood issues and events.
This years Fall Fling will be held on Thursday the
8th of October from 7p to 10p at Crossfit Jeffries
Point. Tickets are $25/person and this is a 21+ event, IDs will be
checked at the door. The tickets include food and beverages, live
music from Mass Appeal, and raffles. Sponsors for the event
include: DownEast Cider, Santarpios, and Riverwalk Brewery.
Along with many of these local businesses, Johanna Young
a lifelong Eastie resident and a member of our team here at Gibson
Sothebys International Realty, is active in the community and a
proud sponsor of this event.
The Jeffries Point Neighborhood Association welcomes all to this
event as it will be a wonderful evening to begin autumn
festivities. Purchase your ticket
