The South Boston
Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 16th Annual
South Boston Street Festival will officially take place on
Saturday, September 19th, from 11-4pm. The free event
that will go from I Street to L Street on East Broadway has
continued to grow every year. This year the festival will showcase
over 100 neighborhood merchants, restaurants, artists and community
organizations.
With over 10,000 residents due to attend, there is bound to be
something for everyone to enjoy with 20+ of Southies top food
establishments and 2 stages for performances by multiple local
bands. There will be outdoor seating at Caf Porto Bello, the Boston
Beer Garden and the Playwright, where you can enjoy the festival
and kids can also experience free activities as well, including
face painting, balloon twisters, street performers and the New
England Aquariums interactive tidal pool.
Not only are all ages welcome to come out and relish in a day
filled with food, music, and fun, but the street festival is dog
