Shawn Eddy, a Yale scientist, has come all the way from Tortola
British Virgin Islands on his quest to settle into a place and
career that was right for him. Eddys long journey filled with
experience in many careers and areas of the world landed him in
Boston to pursue a career in Real Estate as a member of the Gibson
Sothebys International Realty team. Shawns love for the city was
established when he moved to Boston at the age of 6 with his mother
in a pursuit of higher education. An alumni of St. Mary of the
Assumption in Brookline MA,and John
D. Obryant School of Math and Science ,Roxbury MA, Shawn went on to
graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1999,
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He thenbegan research
at the Charles River Laboratories in Wilmington, Massachusetts and
simultaneouslybegan acquiring investment properties around the age
of 21.
Seeking further education Shawn moved on to accepting a position
as a Research Associate for the Chairman of Pharmacology
Department, at Yale school of Medicine in New Haven,
Connecticutwhere he thrived immensely. While working and furthering
his education at Yale, Shawn madeseveral residential and commercial
New Haven real estate investments which proved to be
quitelucrative. Despite his success as a scientist Shawn traded 16
hours days in the lab for endless hoursas a full-time Real Estate
Developer and Restauranteur in Hartford CT, where he revitalized a
entire cityblock of South Downtown Hartford.
Shawns charity of choice is Susan G. Komen for the Cure, his
mother a two time breast cancer survivor fuels his involvement to
educate and raise funds for research to find a cure for
breastcancer. Over the years from the grand opening of his fine
dining restaurant to small socials Shawn andhis team have a
reoccurring pink theme that has raised thousands for this note
worthy foundation.Shawn has a unique set of skills that set him
apart as a realtor. His attention to detail fromhis scientific back
ground and 14 years experience as a real estate investor play an
important rolein his ability to assist clients put together, market
and close successfully. His large social network,perseverance and
outgoing personality from operating high-end social venues are
priceless assets to any client. Shawns persistence, work ethic and
